Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Powerlifting strengthens the muscles of your legs, back and upper body. The deadlift strengthens your back and legs, the bench press strengthens most of the muscles of your upper body and squats strengthens your glutes.
